Coaching Interviews:
Marco Villegas Sierra

Marco is a psychologist, personal trainer, and track and field athlete in Mexico. He got tremendous results with our program and wanted to share his results.

Dr Berardi:
How old are you?

Marco:
25 years old

Dr Berardi:
Before starting with the program, how long had you been lifting weights consistently?

Marco:
About two years or so.

Dr Berardi:
What made you start the program? What was your motivation?

Marco:
I was tired to be a skinny guy. As a high jumper I needed to be skinny, but that often means being weak. So I decided to make a change.

Dr Berardi:
What were your physical stats before starting the program?

Marco:
Before the program I was in 68 kilos with 12% body fat. Now I’m 71 kg and 7.2% of body fat.

Dr Berardi:
Wow – you gained 13 lbs of lean mass and lost 6 lbs of fat in 16 weeks! Impressive! Did you get stronger during the program? If so, give me some examples of how much stronger.

Marco:
Yes, definitely. I began the program with a lot of weak points in my knees and core. Right now I am stronger. I improved my power clean by 20kg, my squat by 20kg as well, and I am very explosive on the track.

Dr Berardi:
How did others respond as your body changed? What kind of things did they say?

Marco:
They say that I am a vein freak, that my abs are going to blow outside of me, and that I have a much better posture.

Dr Berardi:
What are the top things you learned while following the program?

Marco:
• You have to plan to achieve succeed

• You have to break your butt to get what you want.

• The core is the center of all your power.

• To be a great eater you have to learn how to be a great cooker.

• Olympic lifts rules!

• Good fats don’t make you fat.

• If you want great biceps you don’t need to curl.

• If I am hungry, I have to eat wisely.

• If the people say that you can’t, your mind has to say “you don’t know me yet”

Dr Berardi:
Thanks for the interview, Marco!
